Is G Fuel Vegan and Cruelty Free? The De-energizing Truth

July 29, 2023

Figuring out whether G Fuel is vegan can be difficult.

Makers of energy drinks often hide their ingredients behind vague terms such as “natural and artificial flavors,” and even when they do provide a list of ingredients, it can be hard to decipher which ones are vegan and which ones are not.

To make sure that you are only eating food that aligns with your vegan diet and lifestyle, I’ve investigated the ingredients and production processes of G Fuel Energy Drink.

Here’s what I found.

Is G Fuel Vegan?

No. G Fuel is not vegan.

G Fuel is an energy drink that comes in different forms, including powder and liquid. The official energy drink of eSports, these zero-sugar, loaded energy drinks are designed to give the drinker a boost of energy. Sadly, G Fuel is not appropriate for vegans.

G Fuel contains questionable L-tyrosine, a non-essential amino acid that can be derived from animal products, such as milk and cheese. In addition to L-tyrosine, G Fuel also contains a questionable vitamin B12 (methylcobalamin) which can also be found in animal products like meat, fish, and dairy.

Furthermore, the company that makes G Fuel, Gamma Labs, claims that its product is not safe for vegans. So with the company’s own admission, it’s safe to assume that these questionable ingredients are from animal sources. This makes it quite clear that G Fuel is not vegan.

Are G Fuel Energy Drinks Cruelty Free?

No. G Fuel is not cruelty free.

G Fuel is not tested on animals at any point in its production. However, they contain artificial colors that are regularly tested on animals.

Animal testing is an inhumane and out-of-date practice that needs to end. This practice leaves innocent animals disfigured, maimed, and ultimately killed. There are alternative methods that do not involve animals and are more effective. So there is no excuse for brands to continue testing on animals.
