Earth Breeze
Range of Products
Earth Breeze offers eco-friendly laundry detergent sheets in only two varieties: Fresh Scent and Fragrance-Free. You can order one epack containing 30 sheets (60 loads) or 12 packs of 30 sheets each (720 loads). Earth Breeze laundry sheets are delivered in plastic-free packaging made of compostable cardboard. Unfortunately, unlike Tru Earth or Kind Laundry, Earth Breeze doesn’t offer a wide range of laundry products in addition to their laundry detergent sheets.
Ingredients
Earth Breeze claims to be eco-friendly and hypoallergenic, meaning they strive to create better products for both the environment and your family’s sensitive skin by removing unnecessary ingredients. Earth Breeze lists eight ingredients (nine if fragrance is added), which is considerably smaller than traditional liquid laundry detergent.
However, there are two dubious ingredients in Earth Breeze laundry sheets: polyvinyl alcohol and polyethylene glycol, both water-soluble petroleum byproducts. Because petroleum-based products contribute significantly to plastic pollution in the environment, these Earth Breeze laundry detergent sheets may not be entirely sustainable.
Are They Eco-friendly?
Earth Breeze, who ship their laundry sheets in plastic-free packaging made up of compostable cardboard, is an active advocate of eco-friendly laundry detergents and sustainable business practices. Because these highly concentrated laundry detergent sheets are plastic-free and concentrated, they ship quicker and take up less space in your cupboard.
Earth Breeze has also been recognized by several environmental advocacy organizations, including Green America and Organic Consumers Association, for their conscious effort to contribute to a green future.
Earth Breeze encourages other companies to contribute to eco-friendly causes as well. Members of their 1% for the Planet organization donate 1% of their revenue to environmental causes.
Earth Breeze also partners with We Are Neutral to ensure that environmentally friendly projects offset any carbon emissions from manufacturing, operations, and transportation.
Price
When it comes to household budgeting, the per-load cost of laundry detergent matters more than the total price. Each package of Earth Breeze laundry sheets costs $20 and can clean up to 60 loads of laundry. At the regular price, each load costs $0.33, but you can lower this cost to $0.22 per load with their subscription plan.
This is a cheaper rate compared with other eco-friendly laundry detergent sheets available on the market. Earth Breeze laundry sheets can be delivered once a month, twice a month, or three times a year.
Hot or Cold Water
Earth Breeze laundry sheets work well with hot or cold water. These eco-strips are designed to easily dissolve in water regardless of the temperature.
HE Machines
Many modern washing machines are labeled high-efficiency (HE) and require a high-efficiency laundry detergent, as opposed to older models that use traditional laundry detergent. To save water, HE washers use specially designed laundry detergent for lower water levels.
Earth Breeze laundry sheets work well with all kinds of washers, including HE washing machines.
Social Contribution
Laundry detergent is one of the most requested items from disaster relief shelters, homeless outreach centers, women’s shelters, and veterans’ organizations. Earth Breeze launched a program, “Buy One, Give Ten,” in November 2020, through which Earth Breeze donates 10 loads of laundry for each package purchased to a nonprofit of your choice. So far, they have donated 100,000 loads of detergent to people in need!
Earth Breeze also engages in a number of planet-regenerating activities, such as cleaning up the ocean and planting native trees.

Tru Earth
Range of Products
Tru Earth offers a much broader range of laundry-related products than Earth Breeze does. This wide range includes a bamboo cutlery set, bamboo rounds, reusable makeup remover pads, reusable cotton laundry bags, beeswax food wraps and snack bags, reusable grocery bags, stainless steel straws, storage tins, and dishcloths—all products that help reduce plastic pollution.
However, Tru Earth’s flagship product is eco-friendly laundry sheets that come in a variety of formulas according to their customers’ needs.
The scented and unscented formulas are Fresh Linen and Fragrance-Free, respectively.
In addition to those options, Tru Earth has introduced a gentle and fragrance-free formula specially designed for the sensitive skin of babies and small children, Baby Eco-Strips.
If you need an even cleaner clean, the Tru Earth Platinum Eco-Strips (also available in Fresh Linen and Fragrance-Free) serves as a highly concentrated laundry detergent designed for heavily soiled laundry and sweaty workout clothes, yet still safe for sensitive skin.
Ingredients
Tru Earth creates eco-friendly laundry detergent strips with 12 plant-derived standard ingredients, 13 ingredients in the case of the scented variety. They disclose all the information about their ingredients on their official site and describe each ingredient’s purpose clearly. Similar to Earth Breeze, Tru Earth also contains petroleum-derived chemicals, such as polyvinyl alcohol.
Are They Eco-friendly?
Tru Earth claims to reduce plastic waste and lower their carbon footprint by using sustainable manufacturing and delivery methods worldwide. They ship their zero-waste laundry detergents strips in a plastic-free, compostable cardboard sleeve. Tru Earth products are vegan and no animals are tested on in the manufacturing process.
Furthermore, because these sheets are extremely lightweight, they are simple to distribute. It reduces shipping emissions and carbon emissions to the equivalent of removing nearly 30 million cars from the road or planting nine million trees.
Tru Earth introduced the #truearthmovement social media campaign in 2019 to encourage their community to ditch plastic packaging and opt for Tru Earth eco-friendly laundry detergent sheets in plastic-free packaging. Tru Earth customers encourage others to shift to eco-friendly laundry detergent to reduce plastic waste using this hashtag. Since its inception, Tru Earth and its customers have managed to save the ocean from 3.6 million plastic jugs by replacing them with eco-strips.
Price
Tru Earth Eco-Strips come in a 32 pack for $19.95, with one load costing $0.62 at regular price. Tru Earth also offers a subscription option that reduces the cost of each load to $0.40. According to these figures, Tru Earth Eco-Strips are significantly more expensive than liquid laundry detergent and eco-friendly competitors like Earth Breeze.
Hot or Cold Water
Tru Earth laundry detergent sheets are highly concentrated eco-strips, yet easily dissolve in hot or cold water.
HE Machines
Tru Earth sheets work well in any kind of washing machine, including high-efficiency washers (HE).

Tru Earth donates 32 loads of laundry to frontline workers, food banks, and shelters for every subscription. So far, Tru Earth has donated 10 million loads to people in need.
Tru Earth has also introduced a fundraising program for its community and nonprofits. First, contact the Tru Earth Fundraiser Specialist. Next, fill out a short sign-up form to receive your free unique fundraising link from Tru Earth.

On Trustpilot, there is an unverified and unclaimed Tru Earth page with mixed reviews from Tru Earth customers. It has a 3.3 out of 5 rating based on nine reviews.
Some spoke positively about Tru Earth Eco-Strips, detergent pods, and dryer balls.
According to one of the reviews, a small Tru Earth laundry sheet could clean a load of clothes weighing as much as 11–15 pounds, even in hard water.
Unfortunately, 44% of these reviews rated their customer service as poor or bad. In fact, the majority of the complaints I noticed were about poor customer service.
Google My Business:
Tru Earth has a 3.5 rating out of 5, based on 16 reviews on their Google My Business page. Five of the reviews praised the sheets’ eco-friendliness and space efficiency. The lowest-ranking reviews complained about shipping and refund issues.
Facebook:
The Tru Earth Facebook page has a 4.6 out of 5 rating. Most customers raved about the laundry detergent sheets and their eco-friendliness. Customers loved the ease of using the detergent eco-strips instead of traditional liquid laundry detergent from a heavy plastic jug.
I noticed consistent complaints about poor customer service and long delivery time. It’s the area where Tru Earth lags most behind Earth Breeze.
Better Business Bureau:
Based on 76 customer reviews, Tru Earth has a 4.49/5 rating from the Better Business Bureau. Tru Earth has a BBB rating of C- and is not accredited. The Tru Earth earth-friendly laundry detergent sheets were praised in most of these reviews.
Because of their excellent odor and stain removal properties, customers stated that these sheets are ideal for families with children and pets.
Summary
Considering all these factors, I recommend Earth Breeze to a consumer who is ONLY looking to transition from traditional plastic-bottled liquid laundry detergent to eco-friendly laundry detergent without sacrificing product quality.
Earth Breeze and Tru Earth are both socially responsible brands that provide environmentally friendly laundry detergent sheets that perform equally, if not better than, traditional liquid laundry detergent. While Tru Earth has a wide range of laundry products, Earth Breeze has only one signature product so far. So if you are looking for products other than earth-friendly laundry detergent sheets, you can check out Tru Earth or other brands.
If you’re only in the market for laundry detergent sheets, Earth Breeze is the best option due to its low cost ($0.33 per load & $0.22 per load with subscription) and excellent customer service. Earth Breeze ships faster than Tru Earth and has a much lower negative-to-positive review ratio.
As a result, Earth Breeze laundry sheets are the best choice for your switch away from traditional laundry detergents and toward eco-friendly laundry sheets.
