Clean People Laundry Detergent Strips Review
What are Clean People Laundry Detergent Strips?
Clean People is a San Francisco-based earth-friendly company that creates eco-friendly cleaning products for environmentally friendly consumers. In their vegan and cruelty-free products, they use plant-based and clean ingredients. While most zero-waste detergent sheet brands, such as Earth Breeze, manufacture their laundry sheets outside of North America, they manufacture their products in the US and Canada. They also offer free shipping to residents of the US and Canada.
This company also strives to promote a greener world by planting a tree for every purchase of a 96 or 192 pack.
What Products Do Clean People Make?
Clean People sells five natural cleaning products: Laundry Detergent Strips, Oxygen Brightener Stain Remover, Detergent Pods, Fabric Softener Dryer Sheets, and Dishwasher Detergent Pods. Let’s dive into each product’s details.
Clean People Laundry Detergent Strips
Clean People offers ultra-concentrated detergent strips in two varieties: Fragrance-Free and Fresh & Clean. They use plant-based, biodegradable ingredients to make these vegan, cruelty-free, and plastic-free sheets. These strips are hypoallergenic, so safe for sensitive skin or allergies, and are free of harsh chemicals such as dyes, bleaches, parabens, and phosphates.
The good news is that if you are an eco-friendly newbie from the US or Canada who wants to try Clean People’s laundry detergents and you’re not sure you’ll like the results, you can get a free return within 30 days of purchase.
These strips come in single-pack, 96-pack, and 192-pack sizes. Their single-pack price is higher than similar brands, such as Tru Earth or Earth Breeze. However, you can save money if you purchase the 96- or 192-pack sizes.

96 Pack (96 loads) — $33 ($0.34 per load)

My Clean People Review
Clean People’s detergent strips give excellent washing results. Each strip is equal to one washing load. These strips work for heavily soiled clothing such as sports uniforms, pet towels, work clothing, etc. The strips do not leave any residue on the clothes, nor any perfumy smell. These sheets produce fewer suds, but that’s okay since it is not an indicator of a detergent’s cleaning power. Overall, you can choose Clean People’s laundry strips without doubting the wash results. It’s an 8 out of 10 for me easily.
The cost per load is a common indicator of a detergent’s value-based price. Unfortunately, a single pack of Clean People’s laundry strips is more expensive than single packs of other eco-friendly laundry detergent strips available on the market. However, if you purchase their 96 pack ($0.34) or 192 pack ($0.28 per load), you get more bang for your buck. Also, for every 96 or 192 pack, they plant a tree in your name, which is a positive nonmonetary value for many people. An 8 out of 10 is a fair rating for them in terms of value.
Product/Service Offerings: 6/10
Clean People has five cleaning products available in the laundry and kitchen categories: Laundry Strips, Oxygen Brightener Stain Remover, Laundry Detergent Pods, Fabric Softener Dryer Sheets, and Dishwasher Detergent Pods. This is not as comprehensive as Tru Earth or other well-known brands that offer a wide range of products. However, some companies, such as Earth Breeze, only sell laundry sheets. So, in terms of product variety, Clean People falls somewhere in the middle. As a result, it receives a 6 out of 10 ratings.
Customer Support: 8.5/10
Clean People provides customer service via telephone, text message, email, a support box on their website, and their social media profiles on Facebook and Instagram. To the best of my knowledge, Clean People is the only company reachable via text message.
I came across queries and complaints from dissatisfied customers on review websites and Facebook to which their customer support team promptly responded. The brand is active on all social media during business hours and responds to inbox inquiries within a few hours. You can also track your order in the order-tracking feature on their website. So it is a solid 8.5 out of 10 from me.
Ease of Use: 8.5/10
Clean People’s laundry strips are convenient to use from the start. The website has an easy user interface and the entire ordering process is extremely simple. The product itself is a simple strip that even young children can use. There is no product waste, no spillage of powder detergents or heavy lifting of those massive plastic bottles of liquid laundry detergents. Take out one strip for each load of laundry, put that in water, and toss your clothes into the washing machine. These sheets are compatible with all types of washing machines, including HE. These sheets can also be used with hot, cold, or hard water.
Overall Rating: 7.9
These strips are slightly more expensive but clean just as well as any other well-known eco-friendly detergents sheet brand. They do not contain any harsh chemicals or plastic, and are cruelty-free and vegan, with all of the properties you’d expect from a high-end eco-friendly strip. Once you are satisfied with the cleaning power, you can save money and lower the per-load cost by purchasing the 192 pack. They also provide free shipping and returns in the United States and Canada.
Furthermore, the brand supports a greener world by planting trees. For a zero-plastic-waste detergent option for your laundry, try this brand.
